Popular Perth eatery and wine bar, Print Hall, will close its dining room temporarily, relaunching it later this year with a new concept and menu.

According to Gourmet Traveller, the dining room will close in March and reopen in mid-to-late August with a larger capacity and a more casual offering.

The food with take on a more Australian-Asian fusion theme, and the dining room will seat 130, almost double the current capacity of 70 people. The bar will also form part of the dining experience rather than being a separate area, as it is now.

“Print Hall Dining Room will be celebrating its success over the next three weeks before closing doors to begin the exciting new chapter of the Print Hall story. The incredibly popular Print Hall Bar, Bob’s Bar and The Apple Daily Bar and Eating House will continue business as usual whilst the dining room and menu is revamped in a style specifically for the people of Perth,” Print Hall’s website reads.

Grady Patching, national operations manager at Colonial Leisure Group, which owns Print Hall, said the quality of the dining room’s menu and wine offering will be maintained, however they will be adjusted to suit the venue’s new direction.

"The best restaurants are very much about a modern, new and casual style of eating and that's what we're moving towards," Patching told Gourmet Traveller.

Last year, Print Hall was named Perth's Best Hospitality Venue by the AHA-Aon Hospitality Awards for Excellence, and in 2014, at the AHA Hotel and Hospitality Awards for Excellence it claimed the Wine List Award, and its sommelier at the time, Daniel Wegener, won the Sommelier Award. Bob’s Bar also shared the Outdoor Area Award with Matisse Beach Club.
