Anchor™ Food Professionals has announced the finalists for Proud to be a Chef 2020.
32 chefs from across Australia have been selected as finalists after cooking an original recipe that was judged by a panel of culinary experts.
The finalists will travel to Melbourne and Tasmania in February next year for a four-day experience where they experience dairy and salmon masterclasses, dine at leading establishments and network with peers and mentors.
The finalists will also attend workshops with Oakridge’s George Wintle, Smith and Daughters’ Shannon Martinez and Lisa Van Zanten on fermentation, dietary requirements and pastry respectively.
The winner of the competition will be announced during the trip, with one chef receiving a scholarship valued at $7,500 and two other participants receiving three-day internships with a mentor.
