The 2018 Pub Leaders Summit will be held next Monday 19 March at Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney – are you coming along?
Next Monday, pub owners, operators and managers across Australia will be gathering in Sydney to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the industry along with the trends and prospects predicted to make a splash throughout pubs over the next 12 months.
The day will be kicked off with a keynote speech from NRL head coach and legend Mal Meninga, who will discuss managing a team of high-achievers, drawing from experiences in his own career.
The speaker line-up represents all types of publicans – from metropolitan group operators to single venue regional publicans – including Justine Baker of Solotel, Stephen Hunt of Hunt Hospitality, Kasie Ferguson of the Railway Hotel Parkes, Marcello Colosimo of Momento Hospitality and many more.
From Queensland, Brian Fitzgibbons of the Glen and Osbourne Hotels; and Wade Curtis of Pumpyard Bar & Brewery will be involved in sessions as varied as accommodation opportunities and the logistics of setting up a micro-brewery in your venue.
Victoria is represented by Jackie Booth, CEO of Zagame Corporation, who will be discussing the modern gaming offering and opportunities that lie ahead; while Peter Baker, F&B operations manager for Colonial Leisure Group, will discuss his experience putting together award-winning wine lists for Melbourne venue The Botanical.
Mandy Collins of The Lady Daly in Adelaide will be representing South Australia to discuss new ways to promote your food offering. National operators include Annette Verhoeff of Red Rock Leisure and Jaz Mooney of Pelathon.
Don’t miss out!
Last year’s event was a huge success and the feedback overwhelmingly positive. Craig Power, from The Pub Group Tamworth, described it as “probably the best industry conference” he had been to.
This year’s conference and expo is set to be another must-attend event. With an amazing line-up of industry speakers and external insight from the likes of Meninga, Katherine Raskob of the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA); and consultant chef Danny Russolini, delegates will have access to plenty of ideas and inspiration that they can customise for their businesses.
Make sure to grab your tickets this week, to ensure your place at one of the most insightful and inspirational events on the annual calendar for pub operators across the country.
