QT Melbourne has appointed a new executive chef. Andrew Harmer will commence with the hotel at the beginning of October.
Harmer, who has previously worked as executive chef at ex-Vue de Monde and The Point in Albert Park, will oversee the hotel’s food and beverage offering, initially focusing on Pascale Bar & Grill. Harmer has trained in international restaurants including D.O.M with Alex Atala in São Paolo, Brazil.
“QT Melbourne is an amazing property and we are looking forward to Andy joining the team seeing his talented and creative influence achieve a new level for the hotel,” says Brett Sergeant director of Hospitality, Event Hospitality and Entertainment.
“This is an exciting career progression for me. I have worked in top kitchens around the world and helping contribute to the growth of the global contemporary travel movement and trend towards hotel restaurants is extremely exciting,” adds Harmer. “Working with the incredible produce we have available in Melbourne and QT Melbourne’s rooftop garden, with the fun and professional brand that is QT Hotels & Resorts is going to be great.”
