Ribs & Burgers have partnered with Beyond Meat to offer diners a meatless burger option at its Australian venues.
The Beyond Burger patty is a plant-based substitute that tastes and looks like a traditional meat.
On 11 March, the brand will launch the ‘Beyond Old School Cheese’ and ‘Beyond Original’ burgers nationwide.
These are the two plant-based versions of Ribs & Burgers’ top selling beef burgers. The sauces, flavours and ingredients remain exactly the same as the famous ‘Old School Cheese’ and ‘Original Burger’ but with The Beyond Burger patty. Made from peas it contains 20grams of plants based protein, with less saturated fat, calories and zero per cent cholesterol.
The patty will be flame grilled with Ribs & Burgers’ 35 years old secret basting sauce.
“The collaboration with Beyond Meat is a brilliant example of food and flavour innovation – it has replicated the taste and texture of meat, but is 100 per cent plant based,” Ribs & Burgers food manager, Etienne Lubbe says. “At the same time, by its nature, The Beyond Burger is a healthy choice and a world food trend that we proud to be at the forefront of.”
“Whilst the ‘R&B beyond’ menu has been designed in response to the worldwide trend towards plant-based diets, the flavour combination and texture ensures it will appeal to even the most dedicated meat lover.”
