Viral sandwich shop Salumerie has been attracting long lines for months now at its store in Potts Point.
But there will soon be another location for Sydneysiders to get their hands on the famous focaccia sandwiches thanks to a collaboration with Sammy Junior.
The Salumerie team is taking over Sammy Junior’s food menu with five focaccia sandwiches from 6-31 May, serving best-sellers from the store as well as a bespoke mortadella option.
The options include a Caprese with buffalo mozzarella, oxheart tomatoes, basil pesto, oregano, and extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO); and a Classica with prosciutto di Parma, stracciatella, shaved parmesan, and EVOO.
Porchetta is teamed with smoked buffalo mozzarella, roasted potato cream, and chilli capsicum while the classic eggplant parmigiana is topped with buffalo mozzarella and basil pesto.
The Sammy Junior-only sandwich features nduja mortadella with pistachio pesto, crispy chilli stracciatella; rocket and pistachio kernels.
The focaccia sandwiches will be available from 11am until sold out for walk-ins only.
Sammy Junior’s coffee and drinks programs will be available as per usual.
