Chef Shaun Presland has announced that he will be leaving Sake in order to follow his own restaurant pursuits.
After six years with Sake (part of the Urban Purveyor Group) Presland has decided that now is the time to go out on his own, a decision which he says was inspired by a recent stint overseas.
“They were six great years, but it’s time to do my own thing,” Presland told Good Food. “I’ll consult for a while but I did a pop-up in London in August and it really inspired me to eventually open something of my own.”
Presland says that he is unsure of where his own venture will be located at this stage.
