Pepper Tree has announced sommelier Patrick Haddock will join the company as its new business development manager from mid-February.
Haddock is widely known as a wine writer and owner of Reserve Wine Bar in Newcastle.
Pepper Tree Wines owner John Davis said he was thrilled to have Haddock on board. “Patrick is a highly respected sommelier and his experience in the wine industry will really enhance our already strong team,” he says.
“To have someone of his calibre and dynamism step up as our business development manager is exciting for us — it’s a really important role for Pepper Tree and we wanted to appoint the best person for the job, and that’s Patrick.”
Haddock said he was equally enthused by the possibilities of the role. “After so many years in the industry, I’m incredibly keen to join such a renowned wine company,” he says.
“Pepper Tree has a strong tradition of wine-making and it’s exciting to think about building on the success of the business and brand and seeing just how far we can take it.”
