South Carolina’s Elliott Moss will leave the US for the first time and head to Melbourne.
The Buxton Hall BBQ pitmaster will attend Melbourne Food & Wine Festival and cook with the Fancy Hank’s team during his time in Australia.
Moss will cook with Heroes head chef Alicia Cheong for yum char on the roof on 10 March before heading to Fancy Hank’s from the 12-14 March where he will take over the kitchen.
“Elliot and I met in New York during the Big Apple Block Party BBQ Festival in June 2017 and we got to know him over that weekend,” says Mike Patrick, Fancy Hank’s executive chef. “We were the only Australians representing the BBQ scene there and he was very welcoming so we jumped at the chance to return the favour.”
On 16 March, Patrick and Moss will collaborate with Igni’s Aaron Turner and Captain Moonlite’s Matt Germanchis to host a barbecue party at the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival.
