Asado Bar & Grill has opened the takeaway arm of their new venue located in Southbank.
The outlet will be open for breakfast and lunch, offering diners casual fare.
Breakfast options include a crust-free finger sandwich with Spanish ham and cheddar and a traditional take on a fruit salad with caramelised pineapple, lemon cream, marshmallow and coconut yoghurt. Melbourne roasters Industry Beans are taking care of the coffee offering.
San Telmo Group’s empanadas will also be available in the form of the classic beef, green olive and egg option and sweet corn, manchego and Spanish peppers. There will also be a weekly empanada special.
For lunch, diners can choose from dishes including a chorizo roll with cos lettuce and horseradish mayo alongside a beef steak sandwich or asado-cooked lamb with pumpkin, mushroom salad, pear, goat’s cheese and kale.
Argentine cookies are on the menu for dessert along with date, walnut and dulche de leche truffles plus a lemon curd tart.
