The M1 was designed to effectively meet the ever-evolving demands of the food service market. During its development, special attention was given to hygiene standards and the cleanability of the equipment, ensuring that it remains safe for staff and that food is prepared hygienically.
Three levels of hygiene
This commitment to hygiene has resulted in key improvements across three distinct areas of the cooking range: the worktop and dashboard, with the introduction of the anti-spill edge and joint gasket; the optional double-skin hygienic bases for easy cleaning; and kick strip panels attached to height-adjustable feet to keep debris and rubbish out of hard-to-reach areas. These panels can then easily be removed for cleaning.
The outcome:
- A 3-tiered approach to hygiene
- Reduction in time spent on daily cleaning
- Increased savings in the bank
A hallmark feature of the M1 is the anti-spill edge, which comes standard on all equipment. This edge helps contain dirt and liquids, preventing spills on the front of the equipment and controls, resulting in a more robust, easy-to-clean worktop. Combined with the unique shape of the table, the LED knob and controls are consistently protected while also increasing surface and base storage space.
Dirt and liquid often seep between cooking modules, leading to corrosion, bacterial growth, and unpleasant odours over time. To address this, the M1 joint gasket is specifically designed to fit the M1 worktop, creating an airtight seal that prevents liquids and dirt from seeping in. This design makes cleaning easier and keeps the worktop as clean as a single, continuous surface.
The optional H2 double-skin hygienic base units come in stainless steel with rounded lower corners, providing a smooth and easy-to-clean surface. These units are constructed with a double-skin design for added durability and insulation. This three-tiered approach to hygiene enables staff to work cleanly, efficiently, and comfortably, ultimately reflected in the quality of the food prepared.

Protect Your Staff
Several flagship units in the M1 range are available in induction. Induction cooking offers significant benefits, not only for cooking results but for kitchen staff safety. Without open flames, induction drastically reduces the risk of burns, heating only the pan placed on top. Additionally, if the wrong equipment is left on the surface, the integrated LED knob will flash to notify the user. In addition, the flat surface is quicker and easier to clean with just a simple wipe.
The M1 electric range is also equipped with a safety thermostat that features a manual reset option in case the unit trips due to over-temperature conditions. With an IPX5 water-resistant rating, these units are designed to withstand water spray from a nozzle without damage.
The M1 is a versatile range of equipment that is not only safe and easy to use but simple to clean and maintain. Its attention to detail in both design and execution makes the Mareno M1 the ideal choice for kitchens that prioritise staff safety, clean environments, food hygiene, and protecting the bottom line.
