While 1 in 70 Australians have coeliac disease, 11 per cent of the population chooses to live a gluten-free lifestyle.
The numbers of Australians avoiding gluten has continued to rise, and foodservice operators need to offer a range of menu items to cater to everyone.
The Food Company has supplied the foodservice industry with gluten-free condiments since 1988.
“We aim to deliver a meal solution for every avenue of foodservice,” says managing director Matthew Fletcher.
The company is 100 per cent Australian owned and offers a range of gluten-free products from garlic, tahini and sambal oelek to sauces, mayonnaises, dressings and meal starters.
All products are made in the Sydney suburb of Sydenham in a HACCP-certified plant. The products are available in foodservice sizes and are shelf stable until opened, which means kitchens don’t have to worry about losing stock.
The Food Company never cut corners on quality or flavour, which means chefs can focus on maximising their time and delivering memorable dishes to customers.
The company has recently launched a new range that showcases Australian indigenous ingredients such as lemon myrtle, kutjera tomato and wattleseed, which are now available in dressing sauces.
