The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW will host the Sydney Royal Taste of Excellence on Tuesday 24 September and invites hospitality trade to attend the debut event.
The festival-style experience will be held at the Howie Pavilion at Sydney Showground and celebrate the history, quality, provenance and innovation of Australian fine food.
Award-winning producers, buyers and key decision-makers from retail, hospitality and foodservice sectors will all be in attendance, with guests able to visit 40 Sydney Royal award-winning producers such as Meredith Dairy and The Gelato Factory by Charlie.
“The Sydney Royal Taste of Excellence aims to celebrate the quality, skill and perseverance of Australia’s best producers, connecting award-winning producers with Sydney’s key industry professionals,” says Sydney Royal Fine Food Committee Chair Lachlan Bowtell.
“It’s bringing the buyer, the chef and restaurateur directly to the award-winning producers at an event that celebrates top produce,” says Bowtell.
Winners from the Sydney Royal Fine Food competition will also be announced during the event across 10 categories including smallgoods and charcuterie, professional baking, coffee, aquaculture and chocolate and confectionery, to name a few.
“I encourage all of our industry to continue to support local producers, who despite many facing adverse seasonal conditions are still producing outstanding products,” says Bowtell.
Foodservice professions over the age of 18 can register for the event for free.
