Jason Staudt has been announced as the new executive chef at Stokehouse St Kilda.
Staudt joins the Van Haandel-owned restaurant from Solotel, where he worked as the head chef of Aria and most recently, head chef at Bea within Barangaroo House.
“I had heard so many good things about the Van Haandel Group, and the opportunity to join Stokehouse in such a significant leadership role … is the perfect next step for me,” says the chef. “My ethos aligns perfectly with the group.”
Staudt will run the kitchen alongside senior sous chef Mark Wong and group pastry chef Lauren Eldridge.
Prior to working for Solotel, Staudt started his career working in Canada at local venues before moving to top restaurants including Eleven Madison Park, The Ledbury, Brae, Clove Club and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
Staudt will commence his new role in November.
