Melbourne chef Andrew McConnell has confirmed he will let go of his St Kilda restaurant Supernormal Canteen.
A spokesperson from the group, which includes Supernormal restaurant, Cumulus Inc. and Cutler & Co, told Good Food Supernormal Canteen is up for sale.
“We have decided to consolidate our focus on our existing venues and projects,” the spokesperson said.
McConnell first opened Asian restaurant Golden Fields in the site in 2011, before transforming it into French bistro Luxembourg in 2014.
In 2017, the restaurant became Supernormal Canteen, a casual spin-off of McConnell’s pan-Asian restaurant Supernormal, located in Melbourne’s CBD.
Supernormal Canteen will trade as normal until a sale has been finalised. Supernormal restaurant in the CBD will not be affected by the sale and will continue to trade as normal.
