As of 1 April 2017, Teage Ezard will step down from managing BLACK Bar & Grill at The Star Sydney.
The restaurant will continue to operate with the existing team under the leadership of the current executive chef, Dany Karam, who has been at the helm since 2015.
The restaurant was founded by Ezard in 2011 and has been the recipient of numerous awards. Karam has worked closely with Ezard to develop the venue into a classically inspired, contemporary Australian grill.
Ezard will remain in Melbourne to pursue other projects.
In a statement the The Star said:
The Star would like to commend Teage and his team for their very fine work in developing BLACK Bar & Grill as one of the standout culinary attractions and signature dining restaurants at The Star.
The team at The Star have been delighted to work alongside Teage in the kitchen and Tina Ezard in the overall management and marketing of BLACK Bar & Grill. The Star acknowledges Teage and Tina for their generous contribution to the business and wishes them well in their future pursuits.
