The Boathouse Group has opened a new location, but this time, it’s in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
The group acquired the former Regatta location at the end of 2020 and has undertaken a complete renovation of the Rose Bay Marina site.
The kiosk and takeaway window offer the brand’s signature cafe fare, while the restaurant has taken a slightly different direction spearheaded by Group Executive Chef James Brownrigg.
“Our seasonal menu is focused on local produce with an emphasis on fresh seafood,” says the chef.
“We like to take a fun approach to sharing, creating a relaxed dining experience that can be enjoyed by all.”
The menu is divided into raw, entrees, pasta, mains and desserts with dishes covering everything from fresh oysters and yellowfin tuna with finger lime, sesame and ginger to beetroot carpaccio with watermelon, baby cos and radish plus a decadent lobster ravioli.
Mains are more meat leaning, with lamb shoulder, eye fillet and dry-aged duck breast sitting alongside Ora King salmon and poached Murray cod.
Managing Director Andrew Goldsmith hopes the venue will become the new local for residents.
“We are pleased to have extended our offering to Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, and have really enjoyed getting to know the local community since taking over the venue in December,” he says.
The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.
