The Boathouse Group is set to launch Mona Social at the Mona Vale Golf Club in Sydney’s Northern Beaches later this month.
Mona Social will sit above the golf’s headquarters and will host an a la carte bistro restaurant, casual bar with a sporting section, pool tables, and golf simulator.
The Boathouse Group Head of Culinary Mark LaBrooy and Head Chef Cameron Johnston (former Bathers Pavilion and Peterman) are leading the venue’s offering that is set to reinvent classic bistro dishes.
“When we first walked into the space, we were blown away by how iconic the location and outlook is, we’re thrilled to be able to provide locals and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy this venue as it was intended, for socialising with friends and family over a drink or a meal,” says The Boathouse Group CEO Antony Jones.
“Guests will walk in and immediately know that this is a Boathouse venue through its quintessential abundance of beautiful interiors, but rather than being a coastal theme it’ll have more of an inviting country feel with warm timber tones and lush greenery.”
Mona Social’s a la carte menu will feature dishes such as venison tartare with horseradish; chargrilled prawns and kombo mussels; red wine-braised beef cheeks; lamp rump; and crispy-skin chicken.
At the bar, the menu will feature a Mona Social club sandwich and classic cheeseburger alongside modern bar plates such as an anchovy crumpet or eel and pork terrine.
Drinks-wise, guests can expect a cocktail list of classics and Mona Social signatures alongside Australian and international wines, tap beer, and Scottish whiskies.
Mona Social is slated to open later this month at 3 Gold Avenue, Mona Vale, New South Wales.
