The Star Sydney is set to launch Italian restaurant Cucina Porto on 25 November.
It’s the first of a number of new openings for the precinct in Sydney’s Pyrmont.
“We are excited that we can end the year with the launch of a new restaurant following the hardships the hospitality industry has faced in 2020,” says George Hughes, chief marketing officer at The Star Entertainment Group.
“Cucina Porto will celebrate the importance of sharing special moments around the dining table with friends and family.”
The venue will be situated opposite the Sydney Lyric Theatre and will be headed up by chef Martino Pulito.
Pulito joins after time at Morrison Bar & Oyster Room and has designed a menu with influences from the south of Italy.
A range of Italian snacks will be on offer alongside pizzas and pastas.
The drinks offering will showcase a ‘Negroni progression menu’ and wines from both Australia and Italy.
The Star is in the process of transforming former retail outlets into hospitality concepts as part of a $500 million capital works investment program.
