South-West Sydney has welcomed a new up-market restaurant and rooftop bar as part of the recently opened William Inglis Hotel, MGallery by Sofitel.
Part of a new $140 million development at the Warwick Farm racecourse, the 5-star hotel includes an all-day dining restaurant, the Newmarket Room, that focuses on locally sourced produce.
Dishes include citrus-cured ocean trout with beetroot, horseradish and caviar crackers, Wagyu bresaola carpaccio with green peppercorn mustard and mushroom tortellini with truffle pecorino.
Leading the kitchen is executive chef Secan Kesici who has previously worked at The Star Sydney and Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney.
On the hotel’s mezzanine level, high-end whisky bar 1867 Lounge offers an extensive whisky selection, a specialised champagne list and bar food.
Guests staying at the hotel can also enjoy rooftop drinks on level nine at Chiltern Pool Deck & Bar, which overlooks the racecourse and serves up cocktails and bar snacks.
