The top eight finalists for WA’s Best Steak Sandwich Competition have been revealed after state-wide voting.
More than 60 venues battled it out across the country WA and Perth categories, with thousands of votes cast by the public
In Perth, three-time winner Karalee on Preston has been named alongside Seven Sins Perth Hills, C.Y. O’Connor Village Pub and Brewvino Bar Kitchen & Lounge.
The country WA finalists include Southerly’s Harbour View & Restaurant (Port Denison), The Bayview Bar (Bunbury), Settlers Tavern (Margaret River) and Kulin Community Hub.
The finalists will participate in live cook-offs on 13 and 14 April in front of a judging panel who will determine the 2021 winner.
“COVID-19 rudely interrupted the 2020 competition but the number of votes cast this year showed just how keen Western Australians are to support their local venues in this popular contest,” says AHA WA CEO Bradley Woods.
“WA’s chefs had two years to craft and perfect their creations, with customers clearly the beneficiaries – the eight finalists have produced some outstanding results and we are in for a very tight cook-off in April.”
