After launching in 2015, food and wine festival, Wine Island, will return this year, held over four days from Thursday 10 November to Sunday 13 November.
In its inaugural year the festival boasted a line-up of winemakers, sommeliers and chefs who showcased their food and wine via cellar door experiences, gourmet food huts, a VIP Island Bar and complimentary masterclasses hosted by Wine Australia.
2015’s participating wineries included Koonara Wines (SA), Mr Riggs (SA), The Lane (SA), Olivers Taranga (SA), All Saints Estate (VIC), and Voyager Estate (WA).
Taking place on Clark Island, Sydney Harbour, the organisers are planning on making 2016’s Wine Island “bigger and better” with an increase in capacity and more time on the island for visitors.
Wine Island will also introduce Dessert (Island) Bar and Prosecco Point especially for producers/venues wanting to showcase “something on the sweeter side of life.”
If you are interested in applying for a food or wine hut, applications close Monday 18 April.
