Sydney brewery Young Henrys has announced applications are now open for its annual International Women’s Day Brewing Scholarship.
The program is open to women and non-binary individuals who are currently enrolled in the Certificate III Food Processing and Micro Brewing Course (Brewing) at TAFE New South Wales.
Scholarship recipients will receive access to a range of support measures from Young Henrys including quarterly mentoring sessions with Head Brewer Jesse Searls and Head of Lab Rene Delmas, Young Henrys merch, and a pair of Blundstone boots designed to wear on the brewery floor. Course textbooks are also covered to help ease the financial burden on students.
“The Brewing Scholarship is more than a program; it is a celebration of those who dare to dream of making their mark in brewing,” reads a statement from the brewery. “By supporting both women and non-binary individuals, the initiative aims to build an inclusive industry where everyone can thrive. This initiative seeks to create opportunities that leave a lasting impact.”
Applications are open until 1 March, and require students to fill out their details and outline their beer dream.
