Zeus Street Greek will open its first store in the Illawarra on 23 August at Stockland Shellharbour Shopping Centre. Its the brand’s 12th store in New South Wales and 17th in Australia.
The menu offering includes the Uncle Tzimmy family of three pitas, featuring proteins of chicken, pork and lamb from the souvla cooked traditionally on long skewers over hot charcoal and wrapped in pita bread with tomato, tzatziki, onion, paprika and Zeus’ famous chips. The new venue will also offer the recently launched build your own Spartan box menu, which allows customers to select a protein, base, salad and dip.
“Zeus Shellharbour is one of only two stores outside of Sydney in New South Wales. The hospitality scene is continuing to evolve and welcome new contemporary dining experiences into the fold. The interest around our opening has been really strong, which is very exciting” says Zeus marketingmanager Peta Barclay.
“There is a demand for contemporary Greek street food that places huge emphasis on quality, with the local community even trekking to Sydney to visit Zeus stores, so this will be an ideal home for Zeus. We are looking forward to welcoming Illawarra locals in to the Zeus family and to becoming an active part of the local community.”
The store design of Zeus Shellharbour reflects Zeus’s ‘old meets new’ philosophy, achieved through the integration of Art Deco and geometric tiling and wood panelling, the use of warm timber feature walls, neon lighting, raw stone finishes and pops of colour. The space accommodates 80 guests across a mix of banquet and table seating.
