Restaurant & Catering Australia (R&CA) and training provider, HTN, are offering fully funded training for chefs and front of house professionals in NSW.

Kitchen staff with a position of chef de partie and above, and front of house staff with a position of shift supervisor and above can now participate in fully funded training in mentoring and supervision. 

This training is funded under the NSW government’s Smart & Skilled initiative. It aims to develop industry members’ mentoring and supervisory skills in order to increase retention of staff, create more harmonious workplace environments and increase productivity and efficiency in the workplace.

There is a requirement to attend a one day workshop in the R&CA head office in Sydney’s St Leonards, with the balance of training delivered online.

The dates for the workshops are:

  • Tuesday 2 August from 9:00am to 3:00pm
  • Monday 5 September from 9:00am to 3:00pm
  • Monday 17 October from 9:00am to 3:00pm
  • Monday 14 November from 9:00am to 3:00pm
