Retail Savvy Group will open its fifth venue, Fitzroy Social, on Tuesday 26 July at 222 Brunswick Street Fitzroy.

Retail Savvy Group cofounders Anna Carosa and Stewart Koziora are thrilled to be operating in Fitzroy

“Fitzroy Social is more than a bar; it’s an experience. A place where art, history, food and drink meet in harmony,” said managing director, Carosa.

Already operating four bars and restaurants in Melbourne, Carosa and Koziora have a firm understating of what consumers want out of a venue.

“Our venues are about providing a great product, faster and cheaper than anyone else in that vicinity, all in a nice environment to meet friends. We want our patrons to think ‘why would I want to go anywhere else?” said Koziora.

Quality ingredients are central to the food and beverage options. The food menu features meat and poultry from award winning Victorian Farms, while the drinks list includes

Honouring but modernising the building's past as the former Little Creatures Dining Hall’s was front and centre of Carosa’s interior design for space. Notable features include reclaimed wood from Mornington Pier; copper detailing throughout; a hanging ceiling to create the illusion of dining under a green ceiling; and a neon lit back bar.

Australian artist, David Bromley, was commissioned to create artwork for the venue, and painted five murals on site during the renovation period.

“We met David a few years ago and felt this venue was right up his alley. His murals have added the extra edge we were looking for when designing the venue. It was truly a match made in heaven,” said Carosa.

Fitzroy Social will trade from Sunday to Wednesday 11am–11pm and from Thursday to Saturday 11am–12am.
